I would like to say I'm the star baker in my family, but we all know that isn't true. I worship at the temple of my mums homemade apple pie. But just this once I am awarding myself the 'Star Baker Effort Award' as I've been sooo busy making cakes for the shop.
Lemon Drizzle anyone ?
I love a bit of baking, nothing nicer than the smell of CAKE when it comes out of the oven.
And nothing nicer when the skies are cold and grey like today, a little bit of comfort eating never hurt anyone.
This weather is seriously depressing, we came back from France late August, and it's been so miserable ever since; I am resisting (with difficulty) wearing boots and warm jumpers, as it will be a very long winter, but yesterday had to resort to wearing my knitted poncho in the shop,
Perfect for these days when you don't know quite what to wear. so warm and snuggly.
Anyway time for crocheting, just a few ends to sew in on La Blanket Belle - no change there then, photos and pattern coming soon.
And I have just started on Lavande (another blanket, but I always need to have a blanket on the go) inspired by the lavender fields of Provence. I've been trying out lots of new stitches trying to emulate the lavender flower heads and I reckon I've found the perfect stitch......watch this space.
Stay warm, stay home and crochet.
