Wow isn't this weather just fab, but also a teeny bit weird too, I was closing up the shop on Monday night after our evening crochet class; must have been about 9pm. It was dark outside as the nights are now drawing in and as I left, I was hit by a blast of warm evening air (weird) It reminded me so much of Thailand, dark evenings but really warm. Just not what you expect in England.
Long may it last, It's lovely to enjoy an indian summer, before we know it, it will be cold and wintery. I do love the change of season though, I love Autumn and thinking about lighting the wood burner, winter food and snuggling on the sofa wrapped in blankets.
Time to start thinking about Woollie Winter Projects
We have all of our Merino yarns on sale now, how about a lovely blanket made in the supersoft Drops Big Merino only £2.10 per ball.
I love the idea of a 'one colour' blanket, a very sophisticated feel to this one.
Another lovely blanket that a few of my customers have made, is this gorgeous log cabin design made in Drops Big Delight.
You know me and my blankets, don't forget the gorgeous vintage ripple blanket I made in a mix of our DK yarns. This is a superfast blanket to make with a surprising lacy effect.
I know it's hot out there, but it is a great time to start a blanket, just as it starts to get cold you will have a lovely blanket over your knees to keep you warm as you crochet the winter evenings away.
