The Tale of Trudy Two Jumpers

My mum asked what I would like for Christmas, and what I really needed were winter jumpers, the kind you can just throw on with jeans.

So I suggested that she knit me Little Woollies Winter Warmer, it's a boyfriend fit, knitted in the chunky Drops Andes, so a quick knit and a very easy pattern.

This time round, I chose a tonal effect using two of the shades of grey (not 50 !!)

#0519 Dark Grey &

#9015 Grey

For my size you only need 8 balls, which works out approx. £36.00, so a bargain for a wool/alpaca chunky jumper.

It's perfect and I am thrilled to bits.

What I didnt know, was that my mum was already knitting me a jumper as a surprise, so inadvertantly, I ended up with 2 gorgeous knits, how lucky am I?

This one is made with Aran weight Drops Alaska colour

#62 Fog

The pattern is the Imogen Sweater by West Yorkshire Spinners.

I love the colour, it's like a pale blue / grey smoke, the name Fog describes it perfectly. I also love the funnel neck and the cable raglan detail, so flattering.

Such a yummy scrummy jumper, stylish and contemporary.

This one took 17 x 50g balls of Alaska @ £1.80 so again a super bargain at £30 quid.

What can I say but Thanks Mum and can you do me another one in the grey/pink??

Happy Knitting everyone.

Lúcia Cooper:

Hi Trudy, Happy New year! Love your jumpers – very clever mama you have! I don’t know if you remember we moved to Devon since June last year. Our son, our daughter in law and our grandchildren moved to Somerset in August. I would like to crochet a blanket for my daughter. I remember you were crocheting one for your house in France which I liked. Could you let me know where I could find a similar pattern? I would like to use shades of duck blue and light greys. Hope your lovely shop and your courses are going very well. Take care. All the best, Lúcia
